In every work of art we create, the artist is present.

I’m drawn to the loose, expressive style of Impressionism and embrace it in my work. The colors, luminosity, and distinctive mark-making bring my vision of nature and beauty to life.

Contemporary jewelry artist, Robin Meyer hand makes her custom pieces. She works in gold, sterling & fine silver, copper & brass, and enamel. Her enamelled jewelry is both champleve & cloisonné. The designs are started by bending 24k gold or fine silver cloisonné wire into the shapes of the original drawing. The wires are then fired in a kiln at about 1430° into a layer of clear enamel which has been fused onto a base of .999 fine silver.

The ground down glass enamel is both sifted and hand painted into the cells to form a unique design. Every time a new layer of enamel is painted on, you then fire the piece again. It is fired in a kiln between 10 and 12 times to complete the intricate shading and detail of the design and build up the color. Once the enamel reaches the top of the wires, the piece is then ground down, sanded, and polished to finish. The piece is then refired 1 more time for a fire polish, and then tumbled for about 1 hour.

I aim for my sculptures to tell a story. Capturing expression in my work helps convey that narrative.

I have drawn my entire life and have many sketchbooks going back many years. Most of my drawings evolve from those sketches.
